This morning I parked my car at Caribou and started to run listening to MPR news. After the low down on the upcoming winter storm I switched to some tunes as I ran down to the river. I greeted the Mighty Mississippi and ran along her for a short while until I turned to run back up the hill. As I was running I thought of Sherry. I'm quite sure she'd be so happy we're running in her honor. She'd be happy to know we're clearing our minds and taking in this beautiful morning just as she did so many times. She wouldn't want us to live in fear, but to live in joy and gratitude. Sherry, may you rest in peace.
Good on you, SJ. I, on the other hand, let the weather deter me from my purpose. I tried, though. I was out for about 6.3 minutes when I decided I wouldn't make it with the biting wind and turned back for home where I opted for a warm jump rope workout.
ReplyDeleteDedicated my 10 to Sherry on Saturday.
ReplyDeleteTrue words, I'm sure.
ReplyDeleteYour time by the river sounds lovely. I don't miss the cold, but I DO miss the snow, and YOU. I've been running here too. Thanks for the link about Sherry. I had no idea. Happy running, dear friend.
