epic road trip

We drove to Florida for our spring break last week. We were awfully excited. We haven't really taken a vacation with just the five of us. When we told people we were driving people either gave us that, "you're crazy" look or would say, "oh, you're going have so much fun." I'm happy to say we had a great time! We were able to visit friends and and see some of my extended family. The kids did amazingly well in the car. Florida was having record low temps, but it got warmer each day. The sun was so bright and fantastic.

The eldest was throwing up all night, but woke up chasing his youngest sister all around the house. How does that work?

So I taught him to play solitaire and he played for nearly two hours. The middle is at school and the youngest helped me do laundry and pack for our upcoming trip.

We ate a smoothie.

I ran across this video. Goodness, do I want to take a class there. Grand Marais is one of my favorite places on earth. 

After we watched the video the kids became woodworkers until the youngest split her lip. A little TLC and ice helped improve that situation.

This afternoon naps and a movie are on the docket.

Sometimes sick days are the best days.

Snow day!!!

For me, but the older two have school. I see lots I shoveling in my future!

bracing for a big snowstorm and praying for a snowday tomorrow. one can hope.

asked my sister for spring fashion advice. she said i should get these. i'm thinking about what color of shoes i should get. 

thinking about our roadtrip to florida. any thoughts on how to keep the monsters occupied?

am glad that my MIL is making dinner tonight.

Hello, all!

Oh, I can't tell you how happy I am to turn to the calendar to March in the morning. February is a hard month in Minnesota- at least for me. Dreary, cold and long, even though it's short in days. I am ready for warmth and green grass and open water.
